Within three minutes of being seated, I found myself listening for "Flo the Waitress" to say, "Kiss my grits!" That seems to be the kind of vibe going on here. It's not a bad thing! I started with a cup of Manhattan-style Clam Chowder. The soup was clearly home-made. It was even pretty good. I'd have it again. My host(s), who are clearly regulars, think the soup is fabulous. I had the Steak Hoagie ($4.25) and a side of French Fries ($2.15) at our waitresses recommendation. It was A-OK. The Hot Roast Beef and Fried Shrimp Plate lunch specials rounded out the rest of the table. Everyone seemed to enjoy. Jimmy's is a friendly, clean, family-style restaurant that I am sure I will return to.

I brought my 2 nephews to Jimmys because I had to run to work to drop a few things off and it across the street from it. When we entered i was surprised how large it was and seemed cleaned. We were greeted by one server who got our drink orders and had our food order taken by another,. I like the fact that that showed team work. When I got my chicken salad it had NO flavor and was just plain gross to me. The boys seemed ok with their food (ages 10 and 7), The childrens size drinks seemed very small in a Styrofoam cup, the youngest drank his first and asked the older server if he could get a refill, she said No!....... you have to pay for it... he sat back turned red and tears came down his face !!! I told her ill pay for anther one. she explained i should have gotten the regular size at 1.95, the kids are .95 with no refill, and the reg size is 3 refills. ( tho the menu listed bottomless refills, said nothing about only adult size and only 3), and then she told me shell let it "slide this time" , i told her it was ok ill just pay for it it , i was accustomed to getting refills with my meals. I just wont come back , i didnt want to have to keep track on who had how many drinks . She told me not to worry about that shell do that for me, I told it was ok ill just not come back. Then i was told ill be missing out on some good food,,,, i read the other reviews , but my food was not good, or would i miss it. We were only given one paper napkin each, we needed more... my nephew who is 10 asked me not to ask for any more because they might charge us for it.. When the other server dropped off the bill she never asked how everything was, just dropped and left. A note to the owner, ill rather pay a dollar more for a childrens meal and get another drink than told i had to pay .95 for about 6oz cup filled with ice than treated like this. Take off bottomless drink off your menu, and add a new recipe to your chicken salad and yea i owe a hair salon across the street, we have 6 ladies who work with us and our clients come get nails and hair done and ask where to go to lunch... I told your server that i work across the street.

Stopped in here on the advice of a friend at the Red Cross. I had club sandwicha and some delish soup. The place was crowded with folks and reminded me of a NJ diner. Seems a lot of locals eat here. I will be back. The prices are very reasonable.

Really delicious. My mom comes here a lot so she insisted we have breakfast as we were driving by. It's a typical cute breakfast place inside and they have a nice patio you can sit on as well. All of the servers are pleasant enough. On this visit I ordered from the specials--spinach and mushroom quiche with soup (I chose the cream of broccoli). It also comes with a salad, but I declined it (they adjusted the price for that, which was a pleasant surprise). My mom ordered a Western omelet with home fries and toast. Our food came out quickly. The soup was pretty good and the quiche was AMAZING! Really impressive. My mom's omelet was huge, as was the portion of home fries. The price was awesome ($15) too! I will definitely be back soon!!!!

Went there yesterday for breakfast and it was fantastic! It was bike fest in downtown NPR and they had signs to find it very easily. We were there with our one year old and the waitress was very friendly and brought out her fruit right away so we didn't have a cranky baby on our hands lol! Our food came very quickly afterwards and was great. Coffee cups were always full and she even offered to go cups. We will definitely be back!

I have been a customer for 7 years, and never had a complaint until yesterday. Waitress offered bread when we were done with our lunch's had to ask for silverware after waiting a while when lunch was served. Then to top it off we asked for 2 hot waters and we were charged $3.00. I brought my own sugar and healthy beverage because coffee upsets my stomach. I have been going there because of good customer service not so much for the food. I can't believe they lost 2 customers over hot water. That's the perfect example why businesses go down the drain. We asked the cashier why they charged us $3 bucks and she said because everybody will be coming in with their own tea bags. I have a friend that's been going there for years and asks for cold water, squeezes their lemon wedge and uses their sugar and has never been charged a dime. Does that make sense? Or were we treated like that for another reason? We did not complain or were rude at anytime. I guess we will keep going to our usual place that's better food and service, cheaper and closer to home and best of all we are not charged for hot water. Will not recommend this place to friends anymore.

Who doesn't love "Jimmy's". This is a staple in our weekend dining whenever we are in town. Very friendly atmosphere and excellent food and service. Breakfast always hot and fresh. Biscuits and Gravy are the BEST! We really enjoy this restaurant.
